Stephanie's Big Cat Conservation Quest (SBCCQ Inc.) is looking for an enthusiastic Volunteer Social Media Creator to help bring our inspiring conservation stories to life. As part of our passionate team, you'll create engaging content, keep our social media channels fresh and vibrant, and work alongside our committee to share exciting updates, inspiring wildlife stories, fascinating animal facts, and the incredible journey of our innovative educational game app. We would also post challenges/games from our game app for people to engage with. You'll also help shine a spotlight on the amazing work of animal rescue and conservation organisations, encouraging others to connect with, care for, and protect our natural world. Key Duties
- The Social Media Coordinator is responsible for ideas, content and context
- Create a calendar and plan for social media activities
- Create social media content for Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn
- Report on social media activities at monthly committee meetings
- Liaise with committee members for content and obtain approval prior to updating the Social Media Platforms
- Include imagery and audio with social media content
- Maintain events pages with up-to-date content and upcoming events
Skills and Experience
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Good written communication and attention to detail
- Advanced level of proficiency with social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram
- Familiarity with email platforms as well as Mailchimp is helpful but not essential
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a volunteer team
- An interest in conservation, education, or community-focused work
