Interested in using your English skills to support international students and migrants while making a meaningful impact in the community?

LLAMA (League of Latin American Migrants Australia) is a not-for-profit organisation delivering free English programs to Latin American migrants and international students across Australia.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking volunteers to support in-person English sessions in Melbourne CBD, working with participants from diverse backgrounds, particularly Spanish-speaking communities.

This opportunity is open to both:

English teachers, and native or fluent English speakers without formal teaching experience

Sessions are relaxed, interactive, and conversation-focused, helping participants build confidence and improve their everyday communication in Australia.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES

  • Facilitate small group (3–7 participants)

  • Support participants to practise speaking

  • Assist with pronunciation and everyday English

  • Share insights into Australian culture, language, and workplace communication

  • Create a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment

TIME COMMITMENT

Time: 3:00 PM – 4:45 PM (strict finish time due to venue requirements)

ABOUT YOU

  • Native or highly fluent English speaker

  • Friendly, patient, and confident communicator

  • Comfortable engaging with people from diverse cultural backgrounds
