Literacy Support - Skills for Education and Training

The Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) program is designed to help our participants build skills for employment or further study through a unique and practical learning style.
Learner Support volunteers assist our trainers in a classroom setting, by supporting, encouraging, and mentoring a diverse range of learners with language, literacy, numeracy and digital skills through practical, hands-on activities.

#Responsibilities may include: *Assist students under the guidance of trainers, including facilitating small group activities, one-on-one mentoring, and reviewing class work *Preparation of the classroom and resources as requested *Perform other administrative tasks such as printing, scanning, laminating and filing if needed
#What we are looking for: *Confidence in areas of literacy, language, numeracy and/or digital skills *Ability to relate to all ages, backgrounds and abilities *Model positive interactions with students and team members *Show resourcefulness and commitment to your volunteering role *Transferable skills and hobbies such as sewing, cooking, gardening etc.
