Detailed Description This role focuses on engaging participants in hands-on workshop activities, helping them build confidence and develop basic skills in woodwork and tool use. No formal qualifications are required—just a willingness to work with young people, share practical skills, and contribute to a safe and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities • Engage and build positive relationships with young people • Support and encourage participation in hands-on workshop activities • Demonstrate safe use of basic hand and power tools • Assist participants with small woodwork and construction-related tasks • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture in the workshop • Assist with setting up and packing down materials and equipment • Work alongside staff to support learning outcomes and participation
Additional Information • Flexible volunteering options—contribute on one, two, or all three days • Multiple volunteers may be engaged to support the program • Suitable for tradespeople, retirees, students, or anyone with practical skills and a passion for mentoring
