  • Day-to-day social support for the Aboriginal Elders group
  • Contribute to the Teleyarn program, which included communicating by phone with other First Nation Peoples across NSW and documenting or reporting phone calls to the appropriate personnel.
  • Documentation and administration duties (e.g., summarising daily events, documenting and reporting teleyarns)
  • Willingness to learn about working with Aboriginal People
  • Strong ability to collaborate with First Nation People with ethical and cultural awareness
  • An opportunity to gain and/or strengthen experience working with Elders in the Aboriginal community
  • Working from both home and the main location, suitable for students and Centerlink volunteers
  • The volunteer will provide ongoing social support to help prevent social isolation for First Nations Peoples through our Teleyarn program
  • National Police check and a Working with Children check could be obtained with the guidance of the program.
