Shine Gala Volunteers
The Shine Gala will be held at Sofitel Melbourne on Collins, on Saturday 13 June and we need some amazing volunteers to come and help us out on the night!
With your support, all proceeds raised at this year’s event will help support patient and family-centered care initiatives, easing challenges for those cared for in the Cleft & Craniofacial Care at Monash Children’s Hospital.
Event Details:
Date: Saturday, 13 June
Role Times: 10:30am-3pm or 5:30pm-12am
Venue: Sofitel Melbourne on Collins
Volunteering Roles Overview:
Event Day – Set up 10:30am - 3pm
- Grouping event programs and placing them correctly on tables
- Organising event signage in the foyer
- Preparing and neatly arranging the silent auction displays. Numbering items correctly.
- Grouping paddles (for auction). Wiping stains off paddles and placing them correctly on the table as instructed
- Displaying gifts for our VIP Guests
- Any additional tasks instructed by team leaders
Event Evening – Gala 5:30pm - 12am
Roles include table hosts and silent auction volunteers using Galabid.
Silent Auction Volunteers -
- Answer general questions when stationed in the foyer
- Oversee the silent auction items on display and answer any specific questions
- Assist guests with registering and explaining how to use Galabid on their phones (all volunteers will be trained on how to use Galabid)
- Guide people to the Galabid help desk if further information is required
- Assisting guests to pick up items before they leave
Table Host Volunteers -
- Assist guests with Galabid
- Assist during the Live Auction – spotting bids in the room
- Collect bidding paddles
Volunteers will be provided with a meal, breaks and a parking voucher for the night. We ask you to wear black, neat casual clothes (no denim).
