Showground Support Volunteer (Various Roles)

We would love you to join our passionate team at our community showgrounds in Samford. Our priorities are to be consistently helpful and friendly, both to members of our community and to each other. We have opportunities in the following areas: -

1. Administration support for our showgrounds camping office. We would welcome positive, friendly, reliable and dedicated team players who have confidence in interacting with others and managing tasks such as assisting with phone enquiries, taking payments and data entry. Great organisational skills and a strong attention to detail are traits we love. No experience is necessary as training will be provided. We simply need a commitment from you and the enthusiasm to learn new skills.
2. General event support with opportunities to liaise and manage individual events. Our showgrounds hall is often used for community events and weddings, including our Samford Show in July each year. These roles involve administration support, event setup and pack down.
3. General maintenance all year round - including the beautification of our site. Handyman tasks, gardening, potting plants and even skills in waterside plantings would be welcomed.
4. Cleaning of facilities and preparing for events. Cleaning windows, sweeping, mopping, dusting etc.

You will gain hands on experience in event preparations and facilities management, including computing skills and people skills.
