TAMIL/HINDI SPEAKING VOLUNTEER TO VISIT A SENIOR IN BLACKTOWN

About the Role
Wesley Volunteer Visitors is a service that brings hope and companionship to those who feel lonely or isolated. Many older people in aged care or living at home can feel isolated or disconnected from their community. As a Volunteer Visitor, you’ll brighten someone’s week simply by spending time with them, sharing stories, enjoying a cuppa, taking a short walk, or offering companionship. Your presence can make an enormous difference.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Aged 18 years or older
• Ability to speak Tamil and Hindi
• Willingness to commit to regular visits (minimum one hour per fortnight)
• Minimum Commitment of 12 months
• Completion of an interview process
• Successful National Criminal History Check
• Provision of referee checks
• Willingness to follow Wesley Mission policies, including confidentiality and professional boundaries

• Visit an older person regularly (usually once a week or fortnight)
• Provide companionship through conversation and shared interests
• Help enhance their sense of belonging and emotional wellbeing
• Build a genuine, rewarding connection
