We’re seeking a Vietnamese male who can play guitar to spend time and connect with an isolated older man living in a nursing home in Dandenong.

He is Vietnamese (prefers to speak Vietnamese). He is friendly, quiet and shy, and he would like to make a new friend who can visit him on a regular basis to chat and play guitar together with.

He also loves listening to music (especially country, rock and Vietnamese music), and watching action and romance movies. He is artistic and used to enjoy painting and drawing.

Do you have a spare hour a fortnight to spend time and connect with this kind gentlemen?

This volunteer role is flexible, with full training and ongoing support provided. We ask for a commitment of at least 6 months, for around 1–2 hours every fortnight.

Your impact: Volunteering as Leisure Buddy is a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. You will help older people feel less isolated and improve their quality of life. Your visits will bring great joy and happiness to the person you are matched with. ❤️
