PERSONAL SAFEGUARDING SERVICE (PSS) - Volunteer.
Advertised by Albany & Regional Volunteer Service IncorporatedAs a PSS Volunteer, you will build a meaningful, ongoing relationship with an allocated client through regular visits. Your role focuses on providing companionship while also acting as an independent observer of the client’s wellbeing.
Through consistent engagement, you will help ensure the client feels connected, supported, and safe, while identifying and reporting any concerns where necessary.
Key Responsibilities: -Visit your allocated client on a monthly or bi-monthly basis in their home or community -Develop a genuine friendship and companionship, supporting social connection and inclusion -Observe and monitor the client’s health, well-being, and any potential risks. -Report any concerns immediately to the Program Manager -Submit a visitor report within 7 days following each visit -Maintain strict confidentiality and privacy at all times -Purchase and deliver birthday and Christmas gifts (where applicable) and attend key visits -Keep accurate records and submit six-monthly expense reports (with receipts) -Provide a comprehensive handover and return all records if stepping down from the role

Volunteers are supported by and report directly to the Program Manager, who provides guidance, oversight, and assistance when required.
