We’re Looking for German Speaking Volunteers! (Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme)
Do you speak German?
Would you like to make a real difference in the life of an older person from your cultural or language background? We are currently seeking volunteers for the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS) to visit older people who may be feeling lonely or isolated especially those from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds.
About the Role
As an ACVVS volunteer, you will be matched with an older person who would benefit from regular social visits. Many older people feel more comfortable speaking in their first language and connecting with someone who understands their culture and background.
Ideal Volunteer
• Speaks German
• Friendly, compassionate and culturally sensitive
• Committed to visiting regularly with flexible schedule
• Willing to complete a police check and basic training (provided)

Just one hour, once a fortnight your visit can mean the world to someone.
