Volunteer Usher & Front-of-House Assistant

Role Overview: ALOTCO is seeking enthusiastic volunteers to support front-of-house operations during performances. This role involves assisting patrons, maintaining a welcoming environment, and helping ensure events run smoothly from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

-Greet patrons and assist with ushering audiences to their seats -Provide support at kiosks and concession areas as needed -Help maintain cleanliness of the venue before, during, and after performances -Assist with general front-of-house duties to enhance the audience experience

Requirements

Minimum age: 16 years (volunteers under 18 may require parental consent) -Friendly, approachable, and reliable -Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team -Must wear black and white attire during shifts

Commitment

-Typically 3–4 hours per performance when shows are scheduled -Attendance at an orientation session prior to starting -Participation in a short (15-minute) briefing before each performance

Membership:

-Volunteers aged 18 and over are required to pay an annual ALOTCO membership fee of $35, which helps covers volunteer insurance etc.
