Strategy Leadership Volunteer — Grant Prioritization & Advisory

VEAEA - Mazon AFFS Food Security Initiative

Every month, we review 5–10 new grant opportunities. We need strategic thinking to prioritize which grants to pursue and which programs to launch. This is a leadership role for experienced, mission-driven volunteers.

AS A STRATEGY VOLUNTEER, YOU'LL:

• Review upcoming grant opportunities (5–10 per month)
• Research funder priorities, eligibility, and organizational fit
• Rank grants by feasibility, likelihood of success, and impact potential
• Attend 1-hour monthly strategy call with founder and core team
• Provide written recommendations and analysis
• Help shape our long-term fundraising and program strategy

TIME COMMITMENT: 4 hours/month total:

• 1 hour: Monthly video strategy call (time flexible to your schedule)
• 3 hours: Research, grant analysis, written summary (your schedule)

IDEAL CANDIDATE: ✓ Experience in nonprofit work, fundraising, or grant management (or strong strategic thinking) ✓ Genuine passion for food security and social impact ✓ Comfortable with research, analysis, and written communication ✓ Available for one monthly meeting (time flexible) ✓ Want to influence organizational strategy and direction
