We are looking for a motivated individual to join the IVP Board as Treasurer.
About us: IVP is a non-profit local community group. It organises volunteering opportunities around worthwhile community needs and causes, for which it recruits participants from Australia and all across the world through its global network, and offers overseas volunteering opportunities for Australians.
IVP activities are aimed at encouraging understanding among peoples and promoting discussion and an appreciation of the problems that different communities face in their struggles for social justice and environmental harmony.

We are looking for someone who; ● Aligns with the IVP mission ● Has experience in managing finances for small not for profit organisations (desirable) ● Is familiar with accounting software - IVP currently uses Xero
**Responsibilities: **
● Manage association funds on behalf of the executive committee. These include several bank accounts, PayPal, international transfers and several grants. ● Inform and advise the committee on financial matters. ● Work collaboratively with the bookkeeper and ensure management of financial documents ● Prepare reports for and attend monthly committee meetings (online) ● Prepare an Annual Financial statement to satisfy Dept of Fair Trading requirements ● Prepare Annual Financial report with ACNC
Commitment & Location: We ask for up to 6-8 hours per month, including the monthly board meetings. This is a remote role.
