Facilities Assistant

This volunteer role supports individuals completing their mutual obligation requirements under JobSeeker or Youth Allowance, providing structured experience in a community sport environment. Over 15 hours per week, the Facilities Assistant helps maintain a safe, clean and welcoming venue, contributing to smooth daily operations and positive experiences for athletes, members and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the day‑to‑day upkeep of stadium facilities, ensuring all spaces are clean, functional and prepared for training, events and NBL1 activities.
- Support venue operations and bookings by setting up and packing down courts, equipment, signage and hospitality areas as required.
- Contribute to game day readiness, including assisting with bump‑in/bump‑out, basic technical or equipment checks, and ensuring public areas are welcoming and safe.
- Maintain inventory and equipment, including monitoring stock levels, reporting maintenance needs, and supporting small repairs or coordination with contractors.
- Provide member and visitor support, helping create a positive experience by responding to simple facility-related queries and escalating issues promptly.
- Assist with operational tasks that enhance the overall presentation and efficiency of the venue, aligned with commercial and event objectives.
