As a Foodbank Food Hub Volunteer, you will be part of a friendly team helping deliver good food to South Australians and Northern Territorians experiencing hardship. Our Food Hubs are designed to feel like a small supermarket, giving individuals and families the opportunity to choose the food they need in a welcoming and respectful environment.
In this role, every smile, conversation, stocked shelf and helping hand contributes to someone feeling supported during a difficult time. You will not only help keep the Food Hub running smoothly — you will help create an experience where clients feel seen and supported.
What you will do
- Welcome and assist clients with kindness, patience, and respect
- Help process client shops using the computer system
- Unload, sort and organise stock deliveries
- Restock shelves so clients can easily find the food and groceries they need
- Work alongside a small, supportive team to create a positive Food Hub experience.

- Can support people from diverse backgrounds with empathy and understanding
- Are comfortable with some light and occasional heavy lifting.
Requirements
A National Police Check is required. If you do not already have one, we can help you obtain it.
