'Upcycled Emporium' Coordinator

Ballarat Repair Cafe

Logo for Ballarat Repair Cafe

Ballarat Repair Cafe is part of an international movement that encourages people to repair their household items, rather than throwing them away. Our monthly service is free to members of the public, and skilled volunteers offer their services to repair items. The 'Upcycled Emporium' is a new fundraising arm of Ballarat Repair Cafe, and is essentially a pop-up shop, selling home and gift ware made by volunteers from upcycled textiles. Funds raised assist in the running of the Repair Cafe. The coordinator will be required to set up and manage the Emporium at our monthly Repair Cafes, where people who are waiting for their items to be repaired will have the opportunity to browse and purchase the items for sale. The coordinator will also seek other opportunities, such as local farmers markets, expos etc, to participate in.
