About Us: Bethania Community Centre is a welcoming, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting local individuals and families through community programs, social activities, emergency relief services, and inclusive events. Our centre plays an important role in bringing people together, reducing isolation, and providing practical support to those who need it most.

About the Role: We are seeking a friendly, reliable Maintenance & General Support Volunteer to assist with the general upkeep, basic maintenance, and day-to-day operational support of the centre. This hands-on role helps ensure our facilities remain safe, welcoming, and functional for the many community members who use the centre each week.

Key Duties:

Assisting with light maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, tightening fixtures, small touch-ups, and general upkeep

Supporting room setups and pack-downs for programs, meetings, and community events

Assisting staff with moving light furniture or equipment when required

Helping maintain tidy indoor and outdoor spaces

Reporting larger maintenance issues to staff

Skills & Experience:

Basic handyman or maintenance skills (desirable but not essential)

Practical, reliable, and safety-conscious

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Positive attitude and willingness to help where needed
