Expression of Interest: Committee Positions Kenmore Meals on Wheels

Are you passionate about giving back to your local community and making a real difference in people’s lives?

Kenmore Meals on Wheels (KMOW) is a community based not-for-profit organisation that has been supporting residents in Kenmore and surrounding suburbs for over 40 years. We provide nutritious, ready-to-heat meals delivered by team of dedicated local volunteers to seniors, carers, people with disability and individuals recovering from illness or injury. Our aim is to help people remain independent, healthy and connected within their own homes.

KMOW services a wide range of suburbs including Kenmore, Kenmore Hills, Brookfield, Chapel Hill, Fig Tree Pocket, Indooroopilly, Pullenvale, Bellbowrie, Moggill and surrounding areas.

Our organisation relies on the commitment of volunteers, office staff, and committee members who work together to support the ongoing delivery of this vital community service.

We are currently seeking** Expressions of Interest** from individuals that would like to join the KMOW committee

About the Committee:

The main purpose of the committee is to oversee the operational aspect of KMOW and support both our clients and office staff. Committee members contribute to governance, planning, decision-making, and the continued sustainability of the organisation. The committee consists of Executive and General Committee Members. Executive positions includes:

• President,

• Vice-President,

• Treasurer,

• Secretary.

We are currently accepting expressions of interest for several committee roles, including both executive and non-executive positions

Time commitment:

The Committee meets once per month, with meetings generally running for approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Members may also assist with occasional activities and projects throughout the year.

Who we are looking for

We welcome people from all backgrounds who are passionate about supporting their local community and contributing to a positive, collaborative environment.

Experience in areas such as:

• Administration

• Governance

• Finance

• Community services

• Aged care

• Business

• Information technology (IT)

Would be highly valued but is not essential.

Most importantly, we are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic, community-focused, and willing to contribute their skills and ideas to help strengthen our organisation.
