Threatened Species Day 2026: Nocturnal Nature Safari- 22nd September

Join us at Hawthorne Reserve for a Nocturnal Nature Safari with expert ranger and Alone Australia Season 3 Contestant, Tom Covell. Get ready to acquaint yourself with the creatures that rule the night! Volunteers will be trained to use their own keen senses to unlock the nocturnal world, discovering wildlife and making their own experience using spotlights, UV Light traps, Bat Detectors and more! This event provides a great opportunity to deepen your understanding of Australia's iconic and often misunderstood wildlife species, aligning with our commitment to safeguarding them from extinction on Threatened Species Day.
