Logo for Baptistcare

Social companions spend quality time with residents one-on-one or in small groups enjoying conversation or activities which can include playing a board game, cards, puzzles, reading or taking a walk in the grounds.

As a social companion you will be providing genuine companionship and friendship, the opportunity to share stories, memories and life experiences and more enjoyable daily experiences.

You will be friendly, patient and caring. Have good communication and listening skills and most of all be reliable and have a genuine interest in older people.

No experience necessary, just a willingness to connect once a week or fortnight.

If you would like to join our fabulous team of volunteers as a social companion to one or more of our residents, we would like to hear from you.
