General Competition Volunteer
Role Overview
General Competition Volunteers support the delivery of the championships across a range of event areas. This is a hands-on, outdoor role suited to those who enjoy working in a team and contributing to a major Australian Athletics Championship event.
Key Duties
- Assist at drink stations, distributing water to athletes
- Support finish line operations and athlete flow
- Collect and sort race bibs post-event
- Marshal course crossover points to ensure safety
- Assist officials and event staff with general competition management
- Provide directions and support to athletes and spectators
Requirements
- Reliable, friendly, and able to follow instructions
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions
- Able to stand and remain active for extended periods
- Please note: this can be a physically demanding role that may involve long periods of standing, walking and light manual tasks
