Babinda Bargain Centre Volunteers
The Babinda Bargain Centre is a charity-based seller of second-hand goods, staffed almost entirely by Volunteers. All funds raised in the store are directed to Cootharinga North Queensland to support individuals and their families living with a disability. With the help of our customers and the efforts of our Volunteers, we are actively supporting the vision of Cootharinga - "building a better world with people of all abilities!"
Our connection with the Babinda community dates back to 1967 and we are proud that many of our Volunteers have been with us for over 30 years. We are a colourful and valued part of Beautiful Babinda and we would love you to be part of our passionate and dedicated Volunteer team.
We are currently looking for volunteers to assist with:
- Ironing
- Sorting donations in the shed
- Pricing and preparing items for sale in our Marking Room
- Assisting on the Shop Floor and at the Front counter
Whether you can spare a few hours a week or more, your time can make a real difference. If you are looking for a rewarding way to give back to your community, we would love to hear from you!
