Sight Guide and Activity Support

Beyond Blindness is seeking a volunteer to assist & guide our members who are blind or have low vision while they are out and about.

As a Sight Guide Volunteer, you will have the opportunity to improve the quality of life of our members who might be socially isolated or just looking for another adventure to fill the diary for the week.

The outings are relaxed and social in nature, where you might chat together, reminiscing and swapping stories. Outings include activities such as park and garden strolls, visits to museums, galleries, local pubs and shopping centres.

We are looking for someone with organisation skills as this role will also involve recording attendance at activities and also helping to plan with member and staff consultation where future activities will be held.

If you like to have some fun and help others, this could be the niche you have been looking for.

We are hoping this will be an enjoyable experience for our volunteer as well as our members.

This role will not have regular weekly hours, as activities are held on a Monday one month, and on a Tuesday the following month.
