⭐ Volunteer Role – Detailed Description Volunteering with EdConnect Australia is a meaningful and deeply rewarding way to support young people in your community. Our volunteers assist students throughout the school year in a variety of ways. People of all ages and backgrounds bring their skills, life experience and friendly presence into local schools, enriching students’ lives and often providing stability, encouragement and a trusted adult connection that some young people may be missing.

Learning Support volunteers assist in the classroom with reading, numeracy and general learning activities This role helps boost students’ confidence, wellbeing and sense of belonging, and EdConnect provides the structure and support to match volunteers with students who will benefit most.

🎓 Training and Ongoing Support EdConnect ensures every volunteer feels prepared, confident and supported. Before you begin, you’ll receive training tailored to providing Learning Support. Throughout your volunteering journey, our team stays connected with you to make sure your experience is positive, impactful and memorable. Throughout the year, our ConnectEd program offers a range of online and in‑person opportunities, including: • ☕ Local coffee catch‑ups • 🔄 Refresher training • 🛠️ Workshops • 🎉 Formal events and celebrations These gatherings are a great way to meet other volunteers, share experiences and stay connected with a community of people who are making a difference in students’ lives.
