⭐ Volunteering with EdConnect Australia – Breakfast Club Support Roles Volunteering with EdConnect Australia is a meaningful and deeply rewarding way to support young people in your community. Our volunteers of all ages and backgrounds bring their skills, life experience and friendly presence into local schools, enriching students’ lives and often providing stability, encouragement and a trusted adult connection that some young people may be missing.

🍎 7.00 – 9.00am Breakfast Club Breakfast Club provides students with a positive, calm start to their school day. Many children arrive at school early, and a friendly volunteer presence helps create a welcoming environment.

What volunteers do:

Greet students as they arrive and help create a warm, inclusive atmosphere

Assist with simple food preparation (e.g., toast, cereal, fruit)

Serve breakfast and chat with students in a relaxed, friendly way

Encourage positive social interactions and help students feel settled before class

Support staff with light clean‑up and pack‑down tasks

Why it matters:
A nutritious breakfast and a caring adult conversation can make a huge difference to a child’s readiness to learn, confidence and wellbeing.

🎓 Training and Ongoing Support EdConnect ensures every volunteer feels prepared, confident and supported. Before you begin, you’ll receive training tailored to providing Learning Support. Throughout your volunteering journey, our team stays connected with you to make sure your experience is positive, impactful and memorable. Throughout the year, our ConnectEd program offers a range of online and in‑person opportunities, including: • ☕ Local coffee catch‑ups • 🔄 Refresher training • 🛠️ Workshops • 🎉 Formal events and celebrations These gatherings are a great way to meet other volunteers, share experiences and stay connected with a community of people who are making a difference in students’ lives.
