About the Organisation

Goonawarra Neighbourhood House is a community-based not-for-profit neighbourhood house (NH) that has been offering many activities and classes for community members since 1991.

Goonawarra NH develops and runs programs and services for our community based on the Community Development Framework.

Your Role

Participate in committee meetings and decision-making
Contribute to strategic planning and compliance
Support community-focused initiatives

Training

There may be an opportunity for Governance training, budget permitting.

Time required

Just a couple of hours per month to attend online meetings and do a bit of admin work.

National Police Certificate
Working with Children Check

Preference is given to Sunbury residents. This opportunity is open to anyone with an interest in governance and supporting a local community organisation in Sunbury. We especially welcome individuals who have: * Experience in governance * Attention to detail alongside time management skills * HR expertise * Legal knowledge or interest in law * People who are local to Sunbury and surrounding areas.
