What You'll Be Doing:
- Mentoring Volunteers build one on one, supportive relationships with a student who may benefit from extra encouragement and connection.
- Learning Support Volunteers assist in the classroom with reading, numeracy and general learning activities.
- Both roles help boost students' confidence, wellbeing and sense of belonging and EdConnect provides the structure and support to match volunteers with students who will benefit most.
- Training and Ongoing Support EdConnect ensures every volunteer feels prepared, confident and supported. Before you begin, you’ll receive training tailored to your chosen role. Throughout your volunteering journey, our team stays connected with you to make sure your experience is positive, impactful and memorable.
- Throughout the year, our EdConnect program offers a range of online and in person opportunities, including:
- Local coffee catch ups
- Refresher training
- Workshops
- Formal events and celebrations These gatherings are a great way to meet other volunteers, share experiences and stay connected with a community of people who are making a difference in students’ lives.
- EdConnect volunteers support students in local schools across Western Australia.

- You are happy to complete the screening and training required to keep students safe.
