Community Food Support Person

This hands-on volunteer opportunity involves collecting, sorting, and preparing donated food items for distribution, helping ensure people in our community have access to fresh, quality food. You’ll be part of a supportive, community-focused team making a meaningful difference.
What you'll do:
You will be part of a roster of community members who help on Thursday evenings and Friday mornings (and other times, if you have the time)

THURSDAY EVENING TASK:

Coordinate with a generous local bakery, drive to and collect donated bread and rolls from the bakery.

Sort and pack items into bags or containers (provided).

Assist with loading your vehicle for bread delivery to Hudson Road Family Centre the next morning.

FRIDAY MORNING TASK:
-
Drive bakery items to Hudson Road Family Centre and help unload.

If you have time.....help our team with baqging up and preparing items for sharing with the community.

About you
You'll be someone who is:
- Reliable and punctual
- Friendly and respectful
- Comfortable working as part of a team
- Willing to follow hygiene and safety guidelines
- Positive and community-minded You will hold a driver's licence and have access to a car large enough to carry containers ( a medium sized sedan or wagon).
