Greek-Speaking Volunteer Visitor Wanted

Latrobe Community Health/Link Health and Community

Do you speak Greek and have an hour to spare each week or fortnight?

An older Greek-speaking female is feeling isolated and would love someone to talk with, share stories, laugh, reminisce, and connect in their own language.

You don’t need special qualifications — just warmth, reliability, and a willingness to listen.

As a volunteer visitor, you could:

Share conversations over coffee or tea Talk about family, culture, music, food, and memories Help someone feel seen, valued, and less alone Build a genuine friendship across generations

For many older people, hearing their own language again can mean everything.

Whether you’re young, retired, studying, working, or simply community-minded, your time could make a real difference.

Greek speakers of all ages above 18 are encouraged to apply.

One conversation can brighten someone’s whole week.
