St Vincent De Paul Society Queensland supported by Volunteering Queensland
As a retail volunteer, you will play a central role in the operations of the shop, making a significant and valuable contribution to the St Vincent de Paul Society.
We are currently seeking volunteers available on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 9am–3pm. We are looking for an autonomous, customer-oriented person who enjoys working with people and being part of a supportive team environment.
Our retail volunteers perform a variety of tasks including:
• Providing customers with an excellent shopping experience • Assisting with product displays • Processing sales through the point of sale cash register • Keeping the store and sorting area tidy whilst maintaining safe work practices
The volunteers we are seeking will ideally:
• Be a people person • Be welcoming, encouraging and positive • Be confident working independently when required • Have good customer service skills • Be willing to work within the ethos of the St Vincent de Paul Society QLD • Be respectful to others and flexible in their attitude to work and the team
