About Us

Cedar Grove Landcare is a community based not-for-profit organisation dedicated to restoring, increasing, and enhancing biodiversity across the Logan, Scenic Rim and Gold Coast Hinterland regions. Based at the Cedar Grove Environmental Centre alongside picnic areas and walking tracks along the Logan River, our team of passionate staff and volunteers work together to support sustainable environmental practices from seed to landscape.

About the Role

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our Native Nursery team. Our nursery grows indigenous plants specific to the Logan, Scenic Rim and Gold Coast regions, and every plant we propagate plays a role in restoring local ecosystems. As a Nursery Volunteer you will assist with the day-to-day running of the nursery including seed collection and propagation, potting and plant care, watering and general nursery maintenance, and assisting customers and visitors.

When We Need You

Volunteers are welcome on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, 7am to 2.30pm. You are welcome to commit to one day or multiple days per week, whatever suits your schedule.

What You Will Gain

Hands-on experience in native plant propagation and conservation, knowledge of local provenance species and seed collection practices, a welcoming and purpose-driven community, and the satisfaction of contributing to real environmental outcomes in your region. No experience necessary. Just a love of the outdoors, a willingness to get your hands dirty, and a passion for making a difference.

Location

441-489 Cedar Grove Road, Cedar Grove (within the Cedar Grove Environmental Centre)
