The Role: As a volunteer visitor, you’ll be matched with an older woman who would benefit from friendly, social visits in her home. Each visit is relaxed and guided by shared interests—whether it’s chatting about life, spending time in the garden, doing a puzzle together, or enjoying a gentle outing to a nearby café. This is a wonderful opportunity to build a meaningful connection and brighten someone’s day while enriching your own.

Our Client: Our client is a warm and independent woman in her 80s who has spent most of her life in Cressy, where she worked for 15 years in her parents’ general store and still loves sharing stories from those days. She enjoys spending time in her garden, reading, and doing puzzles, and she attends bowls every Friday. She would love a friendly female volunteer to visit fortnightly for companionship—whether that’s chatting at home, enjoying the garden together, or taking a short drive to a nearby café.

About You:

• Lives in and around Elliminyt or happy to travel.
• Possess clear communication skills
• Compassionate, patient and an excellent listener
• Passionate about giving back to your community
• Conducts yourself with open-mindedness and respect, ensuring the privacy, confidentiality, and dignity of our clients is always maintained
• Comfortable using technology to provide feedback and connect with the Volunteer Program
• Availability for a flexible six-month commitment
