Community Tree Planting Trip to Caltowie! (August 24th and 25th)
Conservation Volunteers Australia
Within a month
We are looking for reliable volunteers to join our community planting events at Caltowie on August 24th and/or 25th (please let us know whether you can make one or both of the days!). Our friends at Red Centre Enterprises, a wonderful First Nations business and native nursery, need a hand to plant 2500 seedlings in a beautiful area.
What will I be doing on the day?
All of our events begin with a safety induction and training from a CVA Team Leader. You will work under the supervision of our friendly team to help plant native species in a small team of 8-10 people. We will provide all tools, PPE and lunch to enjoy.
What skills or experience do I need?
No prior experience is necessary! Our Team Leaders will provide volunteers with safety inductions and training in the activity. A can do attitude and willingness to work with others are all the skills you need to be a Conservation Volunteer. All are welcome - our events are suitable for most age groups (ages 10 - 85).
A FEW THINGS TO REMEMBER:
- Once you send through your application via Seek, we will be in touch with registration details. Spaces are limited for these planting days.
- No previous experience is required. We will provide you with all the know-how on site.
- We will be offering transport from Adelaide to the planting site in Caltowie, a 2 1/2 hour drive North. If you would prefer to meet us onsite using your own transport, please let us know.
- We can provide you with a certificate of appreciation for coming along and helping out (this looks great on a resume!)
This is a great opportunity to support a meaningful environmental project, meet like-minded people, and be a part of a community of volunteers coming together to make a difference.
