We’re looking for a friendly and reliable volunteers to join our Key Volunteer Support Crew for a community tree planting day at Athelstone Recreational Reserve on Sunday July 26th, 2026.

Working alongside Campbelltown City Council, Chevron Australia, our staff, and local volunteers, we’re on a mission to plant 7,000 trees this year - adding to the 7,000 trees we successfully planted last year. It’s a fantastic community day filled with teamwork and environmental action and one of our favourite days of the year!

Our Support Crew Key Volunteers play an important role in helping the day run smoothly and safely. While our staff coordinate planting activities and supervise volunteers, you’ll help provide general event support wherever needed throughout the day.

Key Duties

As part of the day, you might be working on some of the following tasks (but don't worry, we'll give you all the training you need beforehand!)

  • Assisting with volunteer registrations and sign-in
  • Helping with event set up and pack down
  • Supporting staff with general safety monitoring and site assistance
  • Acting as a “floater” to help with miscellaneous tasks throughout the day
  • Assisting with directing volunteers and answering general questions
  • Promoting our organisation and sharing details of upcoming events
  • Providing general support to staff and volunteers as needed

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • No previous experience is required, just a willingness to help and get involved
  • Friendly, approachable, and comfortable interacting with people
  • Reliable and able to take direction from staff and Team Leaders
  • Comfortable working outdoors in a community event environment
  • An interest in community events, volunteering, or environmental projects is a bonus

What You’ll Need

  • Your own transport to and from the event
  • Comfortable outdoor clothing and enclosed shoes
  • A positive attitude and willingness to lend a hand wherever needed

What You’ll Get

  • Gain hands-on experience by working alongside our team of staff
  • A certificate of appreciation to recognise your contribution
  • A chance to meet native Australian wildlife at the wildlife display
  • Unlimited serves at the sausage sizzle BBQ lunch station to keep you going!

This is a great opportunity to support a meaningful environmental project, meet like-minded people, and be a part of a community of volunteers coming together to make a difference.
