Centre Against Sexual Violence Inc. is seeking a passionate and qualified person to fill this crucial role on the Management Committee.
Key Duties
- Provide financial oversight and advice to the Management Committee
- Review and present monthly financial reports as prepared by the Finance Worker to the Management Committee
- Oversee the development of an annual budget with Service Manager and Finance Worker.
- Monitor budgets, cash flow and financial risks
- Help maintain appropriate financial policies and controls
- Support compliance with financial and regulatory obligations
- Contribute to strategic decision-making and organisational governance
- Ensure an audit of the books is prepared each year and that the accounts of CASV showing the financial position at the end of the preceding financial year, is submitted to members at the Annual General Meeting.
Skills and Experience required
- Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, business management or financial governance.
- Previous Board, Treasurer or Body Corporate experience is welcomed
- Ability to interpret and communicate financial information clearly
- Understanding of risk management
- Strategic thinking and sound decision-making skills
- Strong communication and relationship-building abilities
- Commitment to ethical leadership and accountability

- You live in South East Queensland, or if you live elsewhere, you can commit to attending the Annual General Meeting in person at the Logan office.
