Variety - the Children's Charity NSW/ACT is a not-for-profit organisation committed to empowering children in Australia who are sick, experiencing disadvantage or living with a disability. We deliver grants, programs, scholarships and experiences to ensure all children can attain their full potential, regardless of their ability or background.
Variety grants wigs to kids who have lost their hair due to a medical condition, through our wig grant. It allows a child to be fitted for a specialised custom-made real hair, suction wig, that gives them increased confidence and self-esteem in their everyday lives.
Variety receives donations of hair for wigs which need sorting. We are looking for a resource to help us sort, grade and package the hair donations to be sent to our partner wig makers. Ideally this role may ideally suit an ex-hairdresser/barber.
