Help Grow Fresh Food to Share in the Community!

Do you enjoy being outdoors, connecting with others, and making a positive difference in your community?
The Sunbury Community Harmony Food Co-op works to improve local food security by making fresh, affordable and culturally relevant food available to everyone in the community. We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help grow fresh produce in our dedicated community garden plot, with harvests shared monthly at our Food Co-op market.
As a Garden to Market Volunteer, you'll play an important role in helping families access healthy fruit and vegetables while learning practical gardening skills and connecting with like-minded community members.
What you'll do:
-
Attend the monthly gardening session to plant and care for seasonal fruit, vegetables and herbs, and harvest produce for distribution through the Sunbury Community Harmony Food Co-op market
-
Complete one independent garden visit per fortnight (approximately 30 minutes) to water plants and monitor crop health
Gardening experience is great to have, but not essential. Whether you're new to gardening or have years of experience, you're welcome to join us. Training, guidance and ongoing support will be provided by our Food Co-op Assistant.
