Community Meals Volunteer Team - Help Cook and Serve our Community
We are expanding our Community Meals Program and are looking for a small, dedicated team of volunteers to help prepare and serve lunch for around 25 people in our local community. This is a hands-on, rewarding role where you’ll work together with others to create simple, nourishing meals using food available through our Food Pantry, sourced from generous local supermarkets and community partners.
What you’ll do:
- Work as part of a small team to plan a meal based on available ingredients
- Prepare and cook a shared lunch
- Help serve meals in a welcoming, friendly environment
- Assist with basic kitchen clean-up
We’re looking for people who are:
- Reliable and able to commit to volunteering on a regular basis (second and fourth Mondays)
- Friendly, team-oriented, and community-minded
- Comfortable working in a kitchen environment (no formal qualifications needed)
- Passionate about reducing food waste and supporting the community
