Abundant Water is looking for 3 values driven assistants to the Board to support and strengthen operations across the Offices of Chair, Treasurer and Volunteering.

Key Responsibilities (Assistant to Chair) · Provide strategic and operational support to the Chair. · Prepare briefings, reports, presentations, and other documents. · Coordinate Board meetings and take minutes.

Key Responsibilities Treasurer's Office (Assistant to Treasurer) · Book bookkeeping, office management and accounting. · Assist with the preparation of the annual financial report to the AGM and Board. · Assist Treasurer on the Board on financial matters and help ensure responsible governance.

Key Responsibilities Volunteering Office (Assistant to Director Volunteering) · Updating and maintaining volunteering documentation. · Conducting regular 'check ins' with our volunteer team. · Assisting with recruitment activities and onboarding of new volunteers/ employees
The successful candidate for any of these roles will: · Have a can-do attitude, be a keen learner and be able to adapt to different tasks as required. · Be able to work independently with minimal guidance. · Have excellent written communication skills. · Have experience in project proposals and planning. · Have an interest in international development, marketing, social business or similar field. · Be able to work effectively as a member of a team. · Understand and commit to the values of Abundant Water.
Finally, these roles are based in Canberra, with work being carried out remotely. The time commitment is approximately 2-3 hours per week, or 1-2 days per month.
