During March 2026, Share the Dignity Volunteers participate in Dignity Drive campaign by collecting, sorting, logging and delivering period product donations collected Woolworths stores and registered collection points across Australia.

Key responsibilities during this time include:

  • Signing up for shifts to collect donated products
  • Checking donation box is set up (if registered for set up shifts)
  • Collecting donations from Woolworths stores and other registered collection points
  • Checking, sorting and logging donations received, ensuring donated period product is brand new and in original packaging.
  • Signing up and/or liaising with other volunteers to deliver donations to charity partners
  • Liaising a mutually convenient time to deliver donations to charity partner(s) or where appropriate, to deliver to the transit shed
  • Checking donation boxes are shut down and packed away or disposed of (if registered for a shutdown shift)
  • Other official ad-hoc volunteer opportunities may arise and are advertised internally and volunteers can express their interest to participate
  • Access to a mobile device or computer is essential
  • Logging into any IT program that may be directed as part of the Share the Dignity volunteer program
  • Promoting the work of Share the Dignity e.g., liking and sharing social media posts, identifying local charities to register to receive donations or businesses who may wish to register as a registered collection point etc.
  • Following Share the Dignity policies and procedures
  • Following all directions from Volunteer Team Leaders, Volunteer Leads or the Shero Support Team (Share the Dignity employees).

Volunteering Hours Being a Share the Dignity can take as little or as much time as you like, subject to your availability and the shifts you decide to sign up for. This volunteer role is anticipated to encompass 1-3 hours per week during drives/campaigns. Outside of campaigns, volunteers can participate in ad-hoc activities and the time commitment for these will be advertised with the opportunity.
