About the AWESOME Festival
The AWESOME Festival is an annual celebration of arts and culture for children aged 0 - 12 and their families, bringing together performances, workshops, exhibitions, activities and events that inspire imagination and creativity.
In 2026, the AWESOME Festival will be delivered across two hubs: Perth Cultural Centre and Subiaco Arts Centre, with full-day, morning and afternoon shifts available from Tuesday 29 September - Saturday 3 October.
Your Role
Festival Assistants are the driving force behind the AWESOME Festival! Every shift brings something new and exciting, with a variety of hands-on tasks.
You might,
- Work alongside professional WA artists;
- Supervise exhibition spaces and installations;
- Assist with front of house and provide excellent customer service;
- Distribute survey cards and programs;
- Dress up as one of our Festival Mascots!
We’re looking for enthusiastic, adaptable volunteers who thrive in a vibrant festival environment and love engaging with the public in a positive way.
We aim to make our volunteer experience fun, rewarding, insightful and educational. Without our volunteers, the AWESOME Festival wouldn't be possible!
