Tiny Dots Early Intervention supports young children and their families through compassionate, family-centred early intervention services. We help children grow in communication, development, participation and everyday life, while supporting parents and caregivers with practical strategies.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an organised and community-minded Community Engagement Co-ordinator to support Tiny Dots in strengthening relationships, improving collaboration, and helping key activities stay connected across the organisation. This is a flexible volunteer role suited to someone who enjoys working behind the scenes to keep communication flowing, actions progressing, and people connected.

In this role, you will:

  • build a strong understanding of how Tiny Dots operates day to day, including service flow, priorities, and team activities
  • work behind the scenes completing administrative tasks to ensure our services flow smoothly.
  • support communication and follow-up across relevant team members, volunteers, and external stakeholders
  • liaise with our sister organisation, Dot to Dot Early Intervention management as required
  • assist in the co-ordination of contributors such as our social media creator and grant writing volunteer
  • help keep community engagement activities organised, aligned, and progressing
  • support stakeholder relationships with local services, professionals, and community groups
  • assist with community events, networking opportunities, and partnership conversations where appropriate

What We're Looking For:

  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • excellent organisation and follow-through
  • confidence liaising with different people in a warm and professional way
  • ability to work independently while staying connected to leadership and team priorities
  • interest in early intervention, disability, child development, community services, or not-for-profit work
  • confidence using IT, Microsoft Office, and online systems

Desirable

  • understanding of the NDIS, disability, or community services sector
  • experience in administration, stakeholder co-ordination, community engagement, or project support
  • driver’s licence and access to a vehicle if attending meetings or events

  • Have access to a computer and reliable internet connection

Reimbursement / Recognition Provided

  • Ongoing mentoring and supervision
  • Written reference after successful completion of an agreed volunteering period or project
  • LinkedIn recommendation where appropriate
  • Confirmation of volunteer hours on request
  • Practical experience in community engagement and organisational co-ordination within a purpose-driven team.
