The Social Media & Content Volunteer will provide assistance with the following activities:
- Creating engaging content for social media channels, including capturing photos and videos, and writing captions.
- Supporting the development and production of larger-scale content projects alongside the Digital Fundraising Officer
- Researching social media best practices and emerging content opportunities to help inform campaign planning
- Supporting community engagement through audience interaction and influencer outreach.
- Monitoring and reporting on social media performance across platforms, including tracking key metrics and identifying content insights.
- Providing ad hoc support to the wider fundraising team
To successfully undertake this role, the volunteer will possess the following skills, attributes and/or experience:
Essential:
- An interest in social media, digital marketing or content creation
- Confidence using social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram and Tiktok
- Basic photography and/or videography skills using a smartphone
- Aged 18 years and over
Desirable:
- Experience creating content for social media channels, either professionally, through study or personal projects.
- Experience using content creation and editing tools such as Canva or CapCut
- Experience with, or confidence in, handling and interacting with animals
