We are seeking Expressions of Interest from a passionate, values driven individual to be co-opted to the People's Playhouse volunteer Committee of Management to support the Treasurer.

This is a rewarding opportunity and a great way to use your skills to give back to the community in a meaningful way and support the arts.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Financial literacy and experience in finance / accounting
  • Competence using MYOB
  • Competence using Microsoft Outlook/Excel/Word/PowerPoint/SharePoint/Teams
  • Experience managing budgets, bank accounts, and financial reporting
  • Ability to prepare and present clear financial reports to a committee
  • Understanding of not for profit financial management principles and familiarity with grant acquittals
  • Hold a current Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)

Role Responsibilities

  • Oversee record keeping, and cash flow monitoring to support long term sustainability
  • Prepare budgets for company expenses and productions
  • Issue invoices and ensure receipts of monies
  • Receive invoices and make payments in a timely manner
  • Process expense claims
  • Record and manage petty cash
  • Provide insights to help inform strategic and operational decision making
  • Review and provide insights into strengthening financial procedures, controls, and reporting
