We are seeking Expressions of Interest from a passionate, values driven individual to be co-opted to the People's Playhouse volunteer Committee of Management to support the Treasurer.
This is a rewarding opportunity and a great way to use your skills to give back to the community in a meaningful way and support the arts.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Financial literacy and experience in finance / accounting
- Competence using MYOB
- Competence using Microsoft Outlook/Excel/Word/PowerPoint/SharePoint/Teams
- Experience managing budgets, bank accounts, and financial reporting
- Ability to prepare and present clear financial reports to a committee
- Understanding of not for profit financial management principles and familiarity with grant acquittals
- Hold a current Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
Role Responsibilities
- Oversee record keeping, and cash flow monitoring to support long term sustainability
- Prepare budgets for company expenses and productions
- Issue invoices and ensure receipts of monies
- Receive invoices and make payments in a timely manner
- Process expense claims
- Record and manage petty cash
- Provide insights to help inform strategic and operational decision making
- Review and provide insights into strengthening financial procedures, controls, and reporting
