The St Vincent de Paul Society (Vinnies) Fairy Meadow is looking for compassionate volunteers to help support people experiencing poverty, disadvantage, and homelessness.
You’ll join a small, local team offering practical help, compassion, and connection, providing a “hand up,” not just a hand-out.
What you'll do

Meet individuals and families in the local community (in pairs)

Listen with empathy and provide practical support

Assist with emergency relief such as food, clothing, and help with essential bills

Connect people with services and resources that can help them move forward

Participate in regular team meetings and work alongside like-minded volunteers

A commitment of approximately 2–3 hours per week
