We offer a range of volunteer roles at Floriade and NightFest, each playing an important part in creating a great visitor experience.

Welcome Team – Be the friendly face of the festival, greeting visitors at entry points and helping them get the most out of their visit.
Roving Support – Move throughout the park assisting guests with directions and answering questions to help everything run smoothly.
Children’s Activity Supervisor – Support family-friendly spaces by overseeing play areas, assisting with activities like crafts, and helping keep the space safe, tidy and well stocked.
NightFest Ticketing Assistant – Join the front-line team at NightFest, scanning tickets and helping guests enter the event smoothly and efficiently.

Training

Training is provided via eLearning Modules and Face to Face briefings

Time required

Shifts are 4 hours in duration and volunteers can sign up for as many shifts as they would like

Most volunteer roles have a few simple requirements to help ensure a positive experience for both you and our visitors: * Availability for a 4‑hour shift * A friendly, approachable and confident attitude when engaging with a wide range of people * Willingness to learn and share event information accurately * A proactive and observant mindset, with a readiness to step in and help where needed * Comfort working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions * A current Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration These qualities help us create a welcoming, safe and enjoyable experience for everyone at Floriade.
