Dokka Community Inc. is looking for volunteers to support our upcoming community health education sessions on food labels and healthy packaged food choices.
Our Food Labels sessions will help community participants understand how to read packaged food labels in Australia, including Nutrition Information Panels, ingredients lists, allergens, date marking, Health Star Ratings, and common marketing claims.
We are looking for volunteers who are interested in nutrition, food science, public health, pharmacy, health promotion, community engagement, or health education.
A background in nutrition, food science, public health, pharmacy, health promotion, community health, or a related field is recommended, but not required.
Volunteer responsibilities may include:
• Attending a short 30-minute online pre-training session
• Helping prepare and pack education kits
• Assisting with participant registration
• Supporting small group activities during the session
• Helping participants find key information on food labels
• Assisting with feedback forms and event pack-up
Volunteers will not be expected to provide individual medical or dietary advice. The role is designed to support general community health education and group learning.

Volunteers will receive:
