The Bethania Community Centre is seeking a passionate and community-minded volunteer to lead our weekly men's group, The Work Bench.
The Work Bench provides a welcoming and supportive environment where local men can come together to socialise, share skills, build friendships and support one another. The group encourages connection, conversation, practical projects and community involvement in a relaxed and inclusive setting.
As the Volunteer Men's Group Leader, you will:
Facilitate weekly group sessions every Wednesday from 10:00am to 12:00pm. Welcome and engage participants. Encourage conversation, connection and participation. Assist with planning activities, projects and discussions. Foster a safe, respectful and inclusive environment. Work alongside Centre staff and volunteers to support the group's growth and success. Help identify opportunities for community engagement and men's wellbeing initiatives.
We are looking for someone who:
Enjoys working with people from diverse backgrounds. Has good communication and leadership skills. Can build positive relationships and encourage participation. Is dependable and committed to supporting the local community. Has a passion for helping reduce social isolation and promoting wellbeing.
