We're seeking an Italian speaking volunteer (male or female) to make regular visits to a kind gentleman living in aged care in Templestowe.
The Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS) helps to reduce social isolation by connecting older people with friendly volunteers.
Visits are flexible (typically 1 hour per week) and we ask for a commitment of at least 6 months. Visits may involve chatting, playing cards, and going for gentle walks. The gentleman has low vision and is softly spoken, so a gentle natured volunteer would be most suited.
If you are friendly, reliable, and comfortable interacting with someone experiencing the ups and downs that come with ageing, we'd love to hear from you (you'll have the chance to find out more, and opt-out if it's not the perfect role for you).
ACVVS is funded by the Australian Government and delivered by MS Plus. MS Plus is a childsafe organisation with a Child Safety and Wellbeing Policy.
